Copernicia Alba, Caranday, White Palm, is the most resistant to cold of the Copernicia species,
withstanding temperatures of up to -5º C.
Its name is in honor of the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.
It adapts to periods of drought and is not very demanding in terms of soil quality. Slow-growing and with a robust, strong trunk, rarely forked, it can reach up to 20m in
height and 40cm in trunk diameter.
Copernicia Alba has fan-shaped leaves that are slightly bluish in color.
